The island has been devastated by inclement weather conditions in the past weeks with the worst effected areas being in the Eastern province.

This island has 103 river basins and therefore we have to expect this kind of situation. Have we prepared for this hazard ? No Now it became a disaster.

Srilanka has never undertaken risk managment of any of these basins. Only interested in petty politics.
