Most Sri Lankans speak English this way. Speak in Sinhalese while using words like "but" "then" when connecting sentences.

Do not get into trouble. Most of our politicians do not understand these and the law is on their hands.

@Citizen - True, but interestingly when this was a stage play at the Wendt, and was more politically sensitive, there were quite a few high profile politicians who came to watch it and laughing their heads off. sometimes at jokes that were directed to them. and this was in 2007.

Excellent satire. Keep it up but be cautious. You might be found fault with for ridiculing the high and mighty.
