SB together with Mangala brought about a culture of impunity and indiscipline. The two influenced President Kumaratunga to discard Good Governance and promoted a culture of vindictiveness.

Thankfully, Mangala is now in the political wilderness. SB was also in the wild, but has managed to return to the limelight due to the magnanimity of President Rajapaksa. Lets hope he does not ruin whatever that's left of the Universities.
